i swear, i did good in 6th grade geography class. but alas, the world has changed. and i dont know it. honestly, i dont think i could point to the czech republic on a map, and i just went there. hey, i being honest. going to hungary next. dont know where that is either.
but at least this conversation that i 'overheard' makes me feel better (or worse):
Maya: im learning serbian now.
anonymous: wait, is serbia a country?
Maya: yes, it was part of the former yugoslavia.
anon: wait, i thought it was now yugo and slavia?
americans. so stupid.
