oh wait, you were being nice

i was waiting for the elevator (whatever, just because i didnt go to the gym today doesnt mean that the 6 floors is a reasonable amount to climb) and one of the attendings comes out of the elevator i was waiting for. or partially came out because he stopped halfway. now when i do that, its usually because i forgot where i am or what im doing, which might require me to get back into the elevator. so as i stood there for a few awkward seconds waiting to make up his mind on where to go next, i realized, he was being nice and actually holding the elevator FOR ME. which i then said outloud sharing my moment of realization with him. literally, i said 'oh, you are being nice'. luckily the elevator door closed and took me 6 floors away from the awkward scene.
